On December 7th, Analog Tattoo opened its doors offering free Skull Tattoo’s and beer. Earlier in the month, Analog Tattoo shop manager Takashi, unfortunately had his beautiful custom bike stolen. Matt Shamah and the tattoo artists at Analog put together a benefit fundraiser to get Takashi a new bike. The concept?? Pick from one of 30+ old Sailor Jerry style Skull Tattoos Matt drew up, have a cold beer, and throw in a donation to the Takashi bike fund. I heard about the benefit when I was in getting a piece finished, and wanted to help support the cause. I showed up with the rig and put together a little showcase to help raise some awareness and get some more donations to the fund. Last I heard, they raised over $1600 and tattooed till 3am. While the one of a kind “Pearl Horse” bike can never be replaced, it was amazing to see a group of artists get together and support a friend and colleague.
