Late in 2009 we were approached by Carlos Perez, the designer of the Maverick Award, to do a piece on the award for theCinequest Film Festival, 2010. We visited the Sacramento Art Foundry to document the creation of the award. Justin Chin from Infinite Machine accompanied us and captured the experience on the RED ONE. Our friend Andrew (Endika) Currier graced the piece with his haunting yet beautiful music composition. Finally, Konstantin Abadjiev created the animated treatment at the end of the piece to seal the deal.
The end result was played at the California Theater before the award was handed over to it’s recipients. This year the award was given to Deepak Chopra , Benjamin Bratt and Terry Zwigoff. The video we created was very well received and we would like to thank the folks at Cinequest and all of those who were involved in the creative process of the piece. And a very special thanks to Ariana Perez, without you this wouldn’t have been possible.

Alas, Cinequest 20. Opening night in downtown San Jose.
Had the opportunity to watch the international debut of The Good Heart.
Made our way over to EO Trading for the little after party, and shook hands with Halfdan, the founder of Cinequest.
Always a pleasure to connect and network with passionate filmmakers.
Stay tuned, we have a small piece which we are looking forward to being seen at the California Theatre.
More to come.
Be sure to check out Cinequest for more cool events and showtimes.
